The RCE BenE München was founded in 2006 as an NGO.

In the moment we have 71 members, the most of them are Institutions. The members are divided in 12 Networks: Schools and Kindergardens, Non-school youth education, Adult Education, University/Science, Environmental education, City of Munich, One World education, Business, Social Organization, Media, Art and Culture and Smal sustainability Initiatives.

Each Network is represented with two people in the steering conittee.

The executive board has two members:

Annette Rinn and Gerhard Mayer

The executive secretary is Thomas Schwab together with Jiska Troppenz and Reiner Schmidt.
